Insulin intake:

RA responsiblites increase tremedously during the end of a semester as we close the dorms and prepare them for incoming residents for the Fall 2007 semester.  At the same time we all have finals.  The results is less time for excercise, but I can still do pushups/lunges/learp frogs or whatever before a meal, which is always fun.

Moving Home - Dr. Graham Events - General Update

Watch Me Reverse "Type 1 Diabetes" Days 235-244

Thursday, August 2nd - 11th, 2007

I apologize for my lack of posting.  I am fianally done with the summer semester of school at the University of Florida.  I was a Residents Hall Associate (RA) which took up a lot of my time.  It was a great experience, but I am glad it is over for awhile, until I come back to UF in the Fall of 2008.

I am back home in the Sarasota/Bradenton area living at my parents house.  I will be living here until I leave for Costa Rica on December 31st.   I am taking 2 UF Distance Education courses, but my main foucs will be on my natural hygiene stuides.  I am taking courses at the University of Natural Health (unh-edu.org) to become a Hygieneic Doctor.

I will be in Costa Rica until April, 5th.  The fist 6 weeks will be spent at Dr. Doug Graham's fasting retreat where I will be an intern.

Fasting in Costa Rica with Dr. Graham

Costa Rica Internship

The next week will be spent participating in a work exchange during Dr. Doug Graham's Walking Tour of Costa Rica

Walking Tour of Costa Rica with Dr. Graham

After that I will be touring Costa Rica by myself.  I am sure it will be a great time for reflection on this amazing journey.

I also should mention I will be doing a work exchange at Dr. Graham's Raw Health and Fitness Week from August 31 - September 7th.  I wll actually be leaving on August 30, so that is only 18 days away!!!!

Raw Health & Fitness Week with Dr. Graham

As far as food, I have been eating bananas, papaya, watermelon, cantaloupe and romaine lettuce.

During the weekend of of August 3rd - 5th, I went to NC to visit Mike White of breathing.com.  I will make a post about that another day.

All my best,

Robby

P.S.  Plese Please send people this blog, I will start to invest a little more time into posting, but if I am going to do so, I want as many people as possible to see it.  Like I have said in the past, EVERYBODY needs ot hear this information whether they want to do it for themselves or not.  Results speak for themselves.

Watch Me Reverse “Type 1 Diabetes” Day 245

Sunday, August 12th, 2007

Sleep/Rest: 8 hrs

Pretty much the entire day was spent unpacking all my belongings and organizing them.  I am a neat freak.  Every belonging has a place and it should always be in that place unless I am using it.  Therefore, you can see why it took me all day to unpack :)

I had two large meals of Papaya and no greens.

Response to blood sugar lows: none

Greens consumed throughout the day: none

Insulin intake:
Humalog: unknown (units of insulin/carbohydrates consumed) (All time high: 1/10)
Lantus: 1 unit (All time high: 24 units)

Watch Me Reverse “Type 1 Diabetes” Day 246

Monday, August 13th, 2007

Sleep/Rest: 8 hrs

I had two large meals of Organic Bananas with Organic Romaine Lettuce

Response to blood sugar lows: 5 bananas

Greens consumed throughout the day: 6 small heads of Romaine Lettuce
Insulin intake:

Humalog: unknown (units of insulin/carbohydrates consumed) (All time high: 1/10)
Lantus: 1 unit (All time high: 24 units)

Improved aesthetics:  I finally have draws and cabinets to put my belongings into.  The house my parents live in is only two years old and we as a family over saw every step of the building process.   It is a beautiful home.  Compared to dorms, which resemble prisons, this is a drastic improvement.

Improved flooring:  I despise carpet, which is what I had to live with in the dorms.  My parent's home is mainly wood and tile.  My room is tile, which was a special request by me when we built the home.

Over head fan:  Always been a hygienic recommendation and I have one in my bedroom.

Direct sunlight coming into my room:  I have 3 good sized windows allowing natural light into my room.  At UF I was on the first floor and my window was in a corner, so I didn't get a great deal of natural light in my   room.

DRASTIC increase of time spent outside:  I can now easily eat every meal outside, in peace, consciously enjoying every bite.  All I have to do is walk 5 steps out of the kitchen and onto the patio.  At UF I had to put everything into a box, and carry it through a bunch of doors to go sit on a dirty concrete pick nick table next to trash cans full of true garbage.  I also had all kinds of time constraints which made this difficult.

I can now do all my reading, computer work, or basically anything I want outside on the patio.  As a matter of fact I am outside typing this right now.  That was difficult when I had to carry books or whatever I needed outside the dorm.   I also have a fan which allows me to be outside no matter how hot the temp is.  I LIVE OUTSIDE.

Pure water placed in the sun:  I have a sweet water distiller which I received for my birthday in March.

Mine is the "Mini Classic II."  The water literally never touches any plastic.  So, now that I am home I can take water which has already gone through my parents RO machine, put it in my distiller and then leave it out in the sun on the patio until I want to drink it.  We all know the sun does amazing things to the water, or anything it comes in contact with.

Much better temperature control for comfortable sleeping conditions:  Obviously a 2 year old house has much better utilities than a college dorm.

Better quality of air when I am in the house:  Again, new home equals better utilities.  You wouldn't believe how nasty the air conditioning unit was in my dorm room.

More exercise:  This just comes from the freedom of my schedule.  I have few time commitments honor.

Less overall stress:  No "job," I don't have 36 residents to take care of any more.  Flexible schedule.

Doing what I LOVE almost all day:  the only time not spent doing what I love is the time spent on my two UF distance education courses.  I am now spending time pursuing a degree from the University of Natural Health, more PathOfHealth (there will be more information about this community provided in the future) behind the scenes work, exercising, and pursing other interests.

Less EMF exposure:  Not sleeping in a room with a fridge under my bed, which dehydrates the air and emits massive EMF's is a nice benefit.

Sunbathing:  Sunbathing nude on public property can be considered child molestation in the state of FL.  Now, I can participate in this wonderful practice at will.

I am sure I could think of more, but the main point is the increased time spent outside breathing fresh air and receiving natural sunlight.

I am obviously blessed with many resources others do not have access too.  I am well aware of this fact.  My recent posts make it clear that I am not suffering from a lack of opportunities.   These blessings leave no room for excuses.  I must produce results.  It is a great burden which I am more than happy to take on.

Brief Update

Watch Me Reverse “Type 1 Diabetes” Days 247-252

Tuesday August 14th – Sunday August 19th, 2007

Sleep/Rest: Averaging around 8 hours

I have been eating organic bananas, organic watermelon, organic papaya, organic strawberries, organic figs, organic kiwi, organic grape tomatoes and organic romaine lettuce.

Humalog: unknown (units of insulin/carbohydrates consumed) (All time high: 1/10)
Lantus: 1 unit (All time high: 24 units)

I have recently said some things I wish I hadn’t and communicated poorly, which is having a negative impact on my emotions.  I will probably write more about it when I am ready, but for now it is relevant to say that learning to become a more compassionate and patient person isn’t easy.  I’m willing to work through the process and hopefully those around me can accept my mistakes and stick with me throughout the journey.
