Health & Fitness Week 2008, $250 Discount
Hello everyone,
First, I would like to address the $250 discount. The reason I can offer a $250 discount is because Dr. Doug Graham has a referral program. If you attend Health & Fitness Week and then refer people to attend future events as a full attendee you get paid $500 for each person you recommend. I am willing to take half of that and give it to the people I refer.
The intent behind this post is not to try and make as much money as I possibly can. All the reasons I think people should attend comes from the heart and my desire to enrich the lives of others.
With that said, I would like to cover the reasons I recommend people attend Health & Fitness Week 2008.
1. The people you will meet.
This is priceless; you literally can’t put a monetary value on this point and this is the hardest point for me to put into words. I met my best friend at Health & Fitness Week 2007; “best friend” doesn’t even cut it, that’s an understatement, but you all get the point.
A majority of the most important people in my life, my “support team”, were people I met during Dr. Graham’s events. I continue to stay in touch with at least one of these people on a daily basis. Trust me, a week of eating pure health food and spending time with evolved, compassionate people, and you can develop some really solid friendships. I like to “choose” my friends, I see people who have what I want and do everything I can to befriend them. There is no place better to meet these people than HFW 2008.
2. Specific People that will be there
This is an extension of point one, but there are several people who will be at HFW 2008, that I highly suggest people befriend. The presence of the following people will make this the best HFW ever, I guarantee it.
Of course, Dr. Graham will be there. No need to say more on that one.
Lennie Mowris – Dr. Graham’s assistant for over 8 years. She owns a wealth of knowledge and experience in virtually every area of healthful living. She also spent many years learning about tropical fruit in Miami, and has a ridiculous amount of knowledge in that area.
Ken Lyle - He is one of the most fit non-professional athletes you will ever meet. He has been following the program since 2001. He has endless amounts of experiences and insights to share.
Grant Campbell (Facebook: Raw A Athlete) and Simon Flack (Facebook: Same) - I guarantee these two individuals will be the first people to complete the entire 80/10/10 Lifestyle Program. Both of them have attended loads of Dr. Graham events, interned in Costa Rica, and fasted in Costa Rica this year.
Brian Wendell (Facebook: Same) - He fasted in Costa Rica this January and is another person who has a wealth of knowledge and experience. Brian is a great man and very pleasant to hang around.
Dave & Val and their new child Raymond - This is one of the most beautiful, healthy families you will ever meet. Val went through pregnancy following 811rv and they have raised their child 811rv. If you’re a young adult thinking about children, I highly suggest you befriend this family.
Jennifer Lapan (Facebook: Same) – Jen has been to several HFW’s and is simply another super experienced and knowledgably person. She is quite hilarious too. All these people have a good sense of humor, but Jen stands out in that regard.
Richard Blackman (http://www.fruitarianfitness.com) – The one and only F1. He will be one of the instructors at HFW this year. I had the pleasure of being in his group last year. What an inspiration!!! And a great motivator.
Cam Anderson (Facebook: Same) – I met Cam at HFW last year and we have been great friends ever since. He also was in intern in Costa Rica during the January fast. Not only does he understand healthful living inside and out but he has a great grasp on Non-Violent Communication. Wonderful person to spend time with!
Kristina Carrillo-Bucaram (Facebook: Same) Kristina is the best friend I wrote about above. She has been following 80/10/10 to the T for over 3 years. You will have a hard time meeting a more loving, energetic, and disciplined person in your entire life.
Nada Tesoro Esperanza (Facebook: Same) – Nada has an incredible story of healing and her enthusiasm for life is off the charts. No joke, absolutely off the charts. She has interned once and fasted three times in Costa Rica with Doug. It’s impossible not to have a good time around Nada.
The chance to get to know these people and understand their experiences in depth is extremely valuable
3. The food
It is 100% organic and the presentations are unbelievable. You will certainly have the opportunity to pick fresh blackberries! It’s not a guarantee, but you also may have the opportunity to pick blueberries, raspberries, apples and pears.
4. The PLAY
At HFW what most people call exercise, becomes play! The range of fitness activities you will learn is off the charts. It’s amazing. I guarantee you will leave the event with an amazing knowledge about how to make your fitness program fun and add variety into your fitness program. I can’t stress enough that HFW is for people of all fitness levels. That is Dr. Graham’s “forte” his ability to tailor fitness activities to people of all levels.
5. The scenery, hygienic living
The beautiful scenery, the fresh air and the quite secluded environment are major benefits.
6. Lectures
There are 3 lectures a day. No question will go unanswered. What a wonderful opportunity to follow the diet perfectly for a week and have experienced people available every time you turn your head to ask people about your physical/emotional experiences throughout the week. Priceless, just priceless.
I could write/talk about this event for hours. So, I wrap this up.
The event will be held from August 30th to September 6th at the Cedar Springs Renewal Center in Sedro Woolley, WA

The cost of doing a work-exchange is $2000. The cost of being a full attendee is $4000. You only get the $250 discount if you decided come as a full attendee. I understand this is a lot of money, but I genuinely believe it is worth every penny. In my own experience, all the money I have invested in Dr. Graham’s events have certainly been worth every penny, simply because of the people I have met. You could take away every single one of the other benefits, and its still worth it just for the new friendships and connections that have the potential to last a lifetime.
